⁶ I ^(A)descended to the base of the mountains.
The earth with its ^(B)bars was around me forever,
But You have ^(C)brought up my life from ^[a]the pit, Lord my God.
⁷ While ^[b]I was ^(D)fainting away,
I ^(E)remembered the Lord,
And my ^(F)prayer came to You,
Into ^(G)Your holy temple.
⁸ Those who ^(H)are followers of worthless ^[c]idols
Abandon their faithfulness,
